I created INCHSTONES because too much of the conversation leaves out the families living the most intensive realities—and too much of the world misunderstands what real adaptation actually requires.
INCHSTONES exists to make that reality more visible, more understood, and more useful to the people who need it most.
Every child, no matter how they communicate, is whole, worthy, and deserving of joy, respect, and possibility.
The lived experience of mothers and caregivers is real expertise.
Profound autism belongs at the center of the conversation, not at the edges.
And the smallest moments of connection, trust, expression, and growth, the INCHSTONES, are sacred.
My work is rooted in lived experience and shaped by the realities of profound, nonspeaking autism.
I speak and write about what too often gets flattened or left out entirely: communication beyond speech, invisible caregiver labor, system strain, dignity, love, exhaustion, and the inch-by-inch progress that outsiders often miss.
